Homepage The Open Beta of Avalon Heroes has just ended, so let's to cheer for all Heroes of Oriens and A Homepageeonia who have fought for honor and glory in the names of their factions. Countless matches have been fought and now, all Heroes can lean back and relax... but just for a couple of days!
As we are still working on extracting the data of the best Heroes and Kins on both sides, you will unfortunately have to wait until Friday before the winners of the Kin and TLVL contest will be announced.
All character data will now be wiped, so you can start anew in the untouched world of Avalon Heroes. The new Avalon Heroes client will be available on the website soon and we strongly recommend you to download the latest version when it's available in order to avoid large patches.
Avalon Heroes will probably launch on February 9, so take this weekend to relax and to regain your fighting spirit - you'll need it for our ESL tournaments, events and the new challenges in all modes including new maps, new adventures, new scenarios and of course new Heroes! Mmogamez.com Exclusive
What does Windows 7 hold for the Future of PC Gaming? Does it play games of old as well as all new titles flawlessly? This is a preview of the future of PC Gaming in regards to Windows 7 and Directx technology. Microsoft redid the structure of the Operating System to ensure better handling of multiple CPUs as well as stability. With the better use of the multiple CPUs, users will see an improvement in responsiveness for the OS as well as better responsiveness (less system lag due to better graphics/memory handling) in regards to controls using the mouse and keyboard. Windows 7 also features excellent compatibility for older games (xp, me, 98 ,95 etc) with a compatibility options similar to those found in windows vista as well as an XP mode (Professional Version only) that allows you to have a virtual version of XP to run programs that are made for xp or older and does not function in vista or above. I've tried games ranging from Oregon Trail 5 to Red Alert 2 to other older system titles and found that most run without any issues beyond a few minor graphics issues (such as the colors glitch in fallout and fallout 2) and have had no crashes on older titles compared to occassional crashes under vista. Most of the potential for Windows 7 for gaming has not yet been tapped such as the new technology in Directx 11 which includes improved graphics and details. Another feature that is in Windows 7 that is now beginning to be used in games is the multitouch surface support which has had a single title already announced boasting the use of the multitouch support. Windows 7 is a step up in the graphics/mutliple CPUs support that gamers will appreciate but have not brought about instrumental changes in the way games are played nor new technology that will bring new light and a new edge to the PC Gaming Market. There are two features of 7 that is good to watch as they may play a part in the future of gaming, multitouch controls as well as the new features of Directx 11.
Summary: Out of the box support for older games (Vista level of Compatibility) Improved Graphics/CPU support Directx 11 (New Graphics/technology)
Windows 7 is a breath of fresh air compared to Vista but does not as of yet have features that would bring gamers to adopt it over the long supported OS Windows XP but does have potential to improve the PC Gaming Industry and add new features/controls to popular franchises.

Warhammer Online: Rise of the Tomb King Event
Warhammer Online is currently having an event from June 16- 22 that allows players to explore the dungeon of the tomb king which will be an early peak of what is ahead in the land of the dead.
Press release: Unable to prevent the initial desecration of the Land of the Dead, the forces of Order now take action to prevent Tchar'zanek's army from achieving their goals there. Both sides are now locked in a race to Nehekhara-a race that will be won by the first side to successfully realize a faster, more secure method of transport: air travel.
All eyes turn to the capital cities where airship construction is underway, for if the airships do not launch, the battle for the Land of the Dead will be over before it could begin. The awesome forces of both armies now scramble to secure badly needed resources, eliciting a bloodbath the likes of which neither side could ever imagine.
Rise of the Tomb Kings is the third and final chapter in the Call to Arms! event story arc leading up to the release of the Land of the Dead dungeon this June. Rise of the Tomb Kings will pit the forces of Order and Destruction against each other in a resource-race to gain access to the Land of the Dead. The successful faction on each server will receive premier access to the dungeon a full day earlier than anyone else on the same server. Though the pri mary reward for participation in this event is the chance to gain early access to the Tomb Kings dungeon, players who complete all ten Tome challenges will receive an exclusive title: "Sky Captain" for Order, and "Master of the Air" for Destruction. Some brave adventurers may even receive the Ravening Cloak, an ultra rare -drop item reward
